Dayspring ECDC has faced a number of challenges relating to COVID-19 at the beginning of our journey. Immediately after opening Dayspring ECDC, the school was closed because of the national lockdown where we couldn’t operate for five months starting from March 2020. When we eventually opened in August 2020, there were few learners due to uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic which forced many to consider their health and well-being. Furthermore, concerned parents refrained from sending their children to schools over the risk of COVID-19exposure.However, in 2021, we saw our numbers increasing and since then we have been growing.

Dayspring Primary officially opened this year 2022.  We started with a good number of learners and we hope to see more growth in the years to come. Our goal is to create a loving and challenging environment conducive for teaching and learning. In addition to the CAPS curriculum that we abide by, we intend to augment our teaching and learning and incorporate the use of technology by offering the following:

    1. Penkyu, a personalised computer software that allows a learner to practise mathematics and English at different levels at their own pace until they get it.
    2. Number Shark, a computer software that helps learners learn mathematics through songs and games at different progressive levels.
    3. Word Shark, computer software that helps learners learn words and phonics through songs and games at different progressive levels. It improves the vocabulary of a learner.
